Electrathon 2003 - Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO) Rules Due to insurance and space limitations here will be no track competition at the 2003 Electrathon. Instead we will focus on technical evaluations of the vehicles and closed-course demonstrations. Information sharing, technical seminars and participant networking are key goals this year. All Electrathon vehicles are welcome to participation in the 2003 Electrathon vehicle judging and technical competition . Bring your vehicle whether it is completed or not. You may still qualify for prizes and will definitely learn a lot by sharing your design with others. Electric bicycles and non-Electrathon electric vehicles are also welcome. Vehicles will be judged by how closely they conform to the vehicle design rules, and on their technical excellence. EVCO has reviewed the vehicle design rules from previous years and updated the design criteria based on the updated Electrathon America specifications. These rules may be used as model rules for future Electrathon events. We will be discussing the rules and their application during the Electrathon workshop. In order to demonstrate your vehicle on our closed course (parking lot) all drivers must have a valid driver's licence, protective gear and must sign a waiver form (must be signed by parent of guardian if under 18). Requirements Safety Equipment Each participating team must bring the following safety equipment and keep it available while working on or demonstrating their vehicle:
