Golden Opportunities for Youth

Created in 1987, Golden Opportunities for Youth provides youth who are in conflict with the court system with an opportunity to become active, contributing members of their communities.

Our programs and methodology, which are designed to reduce crime and recidivism, are truly effective. We enable youth to develop skills and make choices that will contribute to their wholesome growth and development.

Through our programs, over 2500 individuals a year learn about:

• Problem solving
• Self responsibility
• Positive peer interaction
• Coping
• Bullying prevention
• Substance abuse awareness
• Pro-social decision making

We have served male and female youth in our facilities in Ottawa and Cornwall since 1986.

As a non-profit organization, we seek funding from governments, corporations, and individuals to support these programs.
